    Garlic ok or not ok?

    Hey ladies

I think we have come to the conclusion that DS is bored with the food we have been giving him so we are going to try him on what we eat.

My question. Are 12mth olds ok to have garlic? We are having spinach and garlic tuna bake for dinner and I have no idea.

    TIA

My DD loves garlic. And even small amounts of chili.

It's actually great when they can eat the same as the family pretty much from the beginning. Not only is it easier to only have to prepare one meal, you can eat pretty much what you like and the little ones get used to a variety of tastes and textures earlier and often are great eaters as kids and adults. Both my boys were fine with garlic and even chili from the time they started solids at 6 months, although we did ease them into the chili with small amounts first. Both them eat curries as hot as us (and we have them hot!) now which is awesome.

I know someone who fed her baby whole cloves of roast garlic! She loved it.
