I'm curious... Those of you who have solar panels, especially in WA, how have you found having the panels? Is it worth it financially? Any tips?

I've heard a few stories about those who have the grid connected panels and don't save very much at all. Which doesn't make much sense to me, so I just want to suss it all out first.
