She says her teacher threw her pencils

DD1 is a good kid never had any issues with her.
Today after school she told me she was crying and wanted to come home today. She attempted to leave but got stopped by a teacher who we know personally as he lives across the road we also live2 doors down from the school.
I asked Claire why she was crying she said she missed me. Shes in grade 2 and this have never happened so i dug deeper.
She says she was having trouble in maths and when she couldnt do it her teacher threw claires pencils at her, several hit her.
This teacher was campus head until this year so do i take this up with the teacher, csmpus head, principal or leave it?
We have had many dealings with this teacher when claire was in prep she was sexually assaulted by a grade 6 boy in the toilets the teacher told us she didnt believe her as nobody saw .. Preps dont make that up!

Not acceptable at all. Both incidences. Speak to te principle & if you aren't happy, I'd go to the education department.

I was thi.king ED as with the sexual assault the charges agsinst the boy were dropped because of what the teacher said .... Shes a ***** ive heard her go off at the students (shr has prep 1 and 2) even i would have been intimidated but being a primary school teacher losing my cool that much had crossed lines

Normally I would say go straight to the Principal and if you don't get a sufficient response then the ED, but you know your daughter and after that first incident I wouldn't be taking any chances.

Omg! That is WAY beyond acceptable!

I would go to the principal first, give the new one a chance to sort it out properly. If they don't then go to the ED.

Are there any other schools nearby that you could move her too?

The school she is in is obviously failing her and she deserves better.

I had to go to a horrible school in primary school because we were rural. Luckily we got a new Principal in year 3 so things improved.

Maybe you should lobby the DE for a new Principal.

I'm a teacher and, apart from the fact that I would never do that, I would totally expect a parent to complain to my principal if I ever did something like that. That is just wrong!

I hope something was done about the sexual assault by the gr6 boy, that's atrocious!! I'd be going to the dep of Ed for this. Sounds like this teacher needs more than a slap on the wrist! Your daughter should be given a written apology!

all that was done about the sexual assault babyluv was DD1 made to feel like she was wrong for speaking up for months before school she had to sit alone in her classroom watching the boy free to play with his friends it was dealt with very badly the old principal was retiring so he didnt care.
Hopefully the new one listens she normally loves school she didnt want to go this morning
