thread: Colposcopy while AF visits?

    Colposcopy while AF visits?

    I have to have a colposcopy on Monday and suspect AF might arrive Sunday or Monday. I forgot to ring the doc to ask so wondered if anyone knows can I still have it with AF? Thanks

    I think it might block the view so it might be better to reschedule if AF arrives before the appointment.

    ETA - Just ignore my whole post - I read your first one incorrectly - it's late - and I got excited about possible colonoscopy humour!

    Um, you know it is a different hole don't you LOL - just kidding! Not often there is an opportunity to try and make someone about to have a colonoscopy smile

    I can't see that it would be a problem - the camera line that they use is actually quite thin so it wouldn't put any pressure on a tampon as far as I can see - but at worst they would just ask that you to take it out. Maybe take a pad with you for afterwards just incase.

    No you can still have it. We do it more frequently than you'd think! The docs I work with say it's fine but it might be a bit more uncomfortable than norm for you. Call them and clarify for your piece of mind and enquire when they would do it if you cancelled.

    Oh they are such similar terms when tired. But still, something I had not considered. Maybe we need a thread on what medical procedures can't be done with AF?
