Ok, the time has come - must pick a middle name!!

DS2 is due to arrive in *one* *week* and we still haven't settled on a middle name.

First name is Judah (meaning: praise, thanks, gratitude).

Middle name options we're liking but not firmly decided on are Daniel (meaning: God is my judge) or Samuel (meaning: His name is God).

What we *want* in a name is something strong, reasonably traditional, with a non unpleasant meaning.

Names we've decided against, or which are in the family and so are in the "no" pile include Benjamin, Matthew, Marcus, Lucas, Ezekiel, Emmanuel, Dominic, David and Nicholas.

We're also wanting something which doesn't start with an A, J or Z.

Thoughts, please!!!

I love Samuel... I think it goes well with Judah. It flows beautifully and sounds very strong.

Judah Samuel. I love Samuel. I wanted to name DS Samuel but DH has a friend who used it, so I wasn't allowed.

DH and I talked for a while last night, and we both actually seem to be leaning towards Judah Samuel too!

I reckon we're 90% decided ...

And I think it's telling that despite our having "decided" twice previously (Benjamin Judah, and then Judah Daniel) and yet we are still revisiting the question ...

I'm still up for other ideas (Judah Ethan, Judah Solomon, Judah Henry, Judah Edward are others I was tossing around...) though

Judah Henry sounds good to me. I also like feebs suggestion of Judah Samson. Judah Samuel is nice too. My first thought was Judah Mark but may be too similar to Marcus.
