I'm going on a cruise next week. How much money do you think I should budget per day? DH doesn't drink, I haven't had a drink in months so will probably only have 1 or 2 drinks over the course of the cruise. I just can't seem to find any information on how much to allocate for spending.
I spent around $125 a day 5 years ago when i went to vanuatu but I did drink, I also had my nails done and 2 short massages and got gifts within this budget. A lot of tours we had paid for already but the cheapest and best were things we did without going through the cruise company. In Pt Villa we had a taxi driver be our tour guide for five hours he was lovely, insisted on carrying our bags and showed us some lovely places he only charged $40 but we gave him another $20 as he was so helpful. We went to the waterfalls and had a swim before the cruise bus got there. The cruise trip to the waterfalls was $80pp and we had a private tour for less than that for 4 of us.
If you plan on going to the casino on board allow a bit extra too
We spent around $100 a day too, some days more, some days less, but we enjoyed at least a couple of drinks every day
The hardest part about cashless cruising is keeping track of what you're spending....it's oh so easy to swipe the little card and forget how quickly everything adds up!
