    Choosing a Photo Frame

Okay, I need some advice... I have just had some gorgeous professional photos done of the kids and purchased one of each of them in a size 10" x 15" and would now like to take them to a framers from framing. The photos are in a beach setting with the kids wearing pastel coloured clothing, very natural, unposed, relaxed shots of the kids. But I am kind of stuck on what kind of frame....our house is a period house so a rustic frame would look kind of out of place but a heavy formal frame that would suit the house more wouldn't suit the type of photos that they are....any ideas anyone???? They are going to go in a our stair way.

    Thank you.

How about a frameless frame? That's what I have DS's professional photos in as they don't distract from the actual photos

Try going to a professional framers where they have lots of frame and matt samples. We do this every time now and have a great framer who just sits and experiments with us for ages - I think he enjoys it even more than us and he has a fantastic eye for picking out colors and styles we never would have thought of. It's more expensive than getting a ready made but it makes such a difference to the finished look - even cheap $10 prints can come out looking amazing with the right matt and frame.
