Fathers information on school forms

DD2 has an amazing man who adores her who is her dad in everyway but blood.

Are there any legal restrictions to me putting him down as her father on her school forms? Her natural father is in England and hasnt seen her in over 6 years - he also gave up all parental rights when we emigrated out here.

I'd love to have this amazing man recognized through the school as her dad but I'm worried it's not legal for me to do this.

On my school forms I had to mark DD's father in one part but my current partner who was more like a father in a section which stated other adults this child lives with (he was also primary emergency person after myself)

Perhaps ask the school about their policy with that

I use my DH details on the school forms. I'm pretty sure there's two guardian spots at the start and then there is a section for other parent who may now reside with child.

I just usually write his name. He wouldn't ever leave work early to pick up in emergency so he isnt even on that emergency contact list.
