Installing car seat at 32 weeks?

    Hi all

Just wondering if you think installing a carseat at 32 weeks is a bit early? My reasoning for putting it in now is so DS can get used to getting himself in and buckled up in his seat with the other there. My back seatbelts are a bit of a PITA and are quite close together so I think the practice with the new seat there for a few weeks will make life easier.

Another reason being I've already been in hospital with pre term labour and had DS at 35+5, am 2cm dilated so know I could definitely go early again.

If you put it in now there's one less thing to do later, so go for it I'd say!

I'd do it hon, that way it is one less thing to think about, and easier for DS too

We put ours in at about 32 weeks. But, we knew DD was coming between 33 and 34 weeks, we put it in even though we knew she would require a 6+ week hospital stay.
We'll be putting #2s in around the same time.

Dp put ours in when ds was 2 days old and i was waiting to be picked up from hospital i dont recommend it! this time we're going to sort it out this week (37-38 weeks). I think 32 weeks sounds like a good plan!

We'll be putting ours in probably around 35 weeks so the girls get used to it before the new bub comes. We also want to play around with configurations a bit to see what works best for everyone because we're going to have the difficult seat belt doing up thing too.

We used a capsule hire from the hospital and they installed it the day after baby arrived.

I'm going to give it a crack myself, and then get it checked - trying to be as independant as I can, I don't need no man! lol

I'm going to clean and vacuum my entire car on Saturday and then give it a go!
