Using Moo Goo Scalp cream for cradle cap?

For those who have used this cream, how did you use it? Do I lather it on and wash it off? Leave it on? Rub it in? I feel so silly that I have no idea

I would put it on them before bed, it cleared up really quickly.

For us the only thing that finally cleared up Elly's cradle cap was bi-carb soda. Make a paste with just a tiny bit of water, smooth paste over head at start of bath, wash it off at end of bath with flannel, no rubbing even necessary. Gone in 3 days for good.

Mix it with breastmilk! Then it has superpowers.

For us it was olive oil. Rub it in before bath and rinse what you can after, it will make bub look like 50's star (think Happy Days greasy hair) for a couple of days but it was all gone after two applications and never came back.
An Italian midwife told us about it, old family trick apparently.
