Not being able to see your toes, knees, .....
So with 2wks to go I am wondering why on earth I am doing this all again, lol (apart from having a beautiful little baby at the end of it). The last few weeks I have been feeling so exhausted!
So I thought, to remind myself I am not the only one going through this, I'd list my 'joys' of 3rd trimester pregnancy. Feel free to add your 'joys':
* Insomnia
* Lack of appetite
* Nausea
* Fatigue
* Sciatica pain
* Constant stitch feeling up near my ribs
* Swollen ankles (kankles)
* (TMI alert)......... hemorrhoids
It's all worth it though![]()
Not being able to see your toes, knees, .....
sharp nerve pains in your groin.

Varicose veins up and down both legs...
Constantly aching back
Soooo TIRED all the time!
24/7 nausea
Inability to walk longer than 5 minutes without right hip giving way
Loss of money when some pratt stole my shopping trolley chocka block full after I had to leave it and bolt while trying to order meat from the butcher and the smell overcame me (very nice butcher felt terrible cos he thought it was my husband come to get it for me so didn't say anything, so he gave me my meat for free)
Constipated diarrhea - never in my life thought I would have the joy of that "I need to go to the toilet NOW" feeling, only to sit there so completely constipated.
Insomnia despite constant exhaustion
Heartburn
Crankiness at my beautiful family cos its all getting the better of me.
Idiots that tell me I should be really enjoying this pregnancy despite how I'm feeling given what I went through to get here and given it will be my last. These same idiots are usually the ones who either "glowed" or have a penis
Just as well there's the best prize in the world waiting at the end ;-)
Lulu- someone stole your full trolley?!!! OMG. I thought I was paranoid thinking someone might do that. You poor thing!
Some of my joys.
Inability to.roll over in bed without a loud 'uuuurrrrghhhh' noise.
Inability to bend over properly.
Struggling to walk short distances.
My list is petty, I glowed, LOL. Even the things on my list were only slightly bothersome. I'm gonna go now before someone throws a chair in my direction![]()
LuluHB, that is terrible. How could someone be so horrible! That was lovely of the butcher to give you free meat though. Luckily there are SOME good people in this world. I am hearing you to on 'Crankiness at my beautiful family cos its all getting the better of me'. I think this every day, that my little girl gets into trouble cos I have lost all patience lately - I have to remember that she is only 20mths old.
Forshelby, I had to laugh at your 'Inability to.roll over in bed without a loud 'uuuurrrrghhhh' noise' - SOOOO true, lol.
You enjoy your glow forshelby. I'm not bitter at those that glow - just very envious ;-)
Nel - I think that's what upsets me most - knowing that I'm snapping too much at the kids because I'm tired/sick. Its horrible isn't it.
I thought of something I really hated!!
Being swollen from 18weeks onwards. Really swollen. Thongs leaving massive 1cm deep indents on my puffy feet style of swollen. That only got worse postpartum.. I was swollen from hip to toes, could barely walk for the pain. I felt like the incredible hulk.. you know, at any second my skin was going to rip off while I yell 'raaarrrghhhhh forshelby smash!!!'
There! I feel better now that I could participate fully, and not be the annoying chick who even loved the discomfort.![]()
bwahahahaha @ or have a penis
forshelby - Inability to.roll over in bed without a loud 'uuuurrrrghhhh' noise. - AMEN!!!
Inability to freaking PARK the damn car!!! seriously, my belly was so big I had trouble parking :|
Inability to reach the seatbelt in my sisters lil Getz on the first, second or THIRD attempt!
Inability to hold onto ANYTHING in the shower! Seriously, I was threatening to invest in soap on a rope!
Nooooooooooo. Its never so bad that you need soap on a rope!!!!
Nel - don't worry about coping with a toddler and a newborn. Seriously. After a crap pregnancy it is so much easier when they're on the outside.
Chafing.
Being sick and can do squat to get rid of it fast. Wearing maternity clothes because normal ones don't fit and having maternity pants fall down.
Luluhb, thats shocking, i like the nice butcher though.
Quite a few of the above... My "joys" are the dumb questions from stangers, you ladys know the ones, do you know what your having? are you going to bf? are you having anymore.
i also get told a fair bit "but your too small, is the baby okay"
Craving something, then not being able to find it, and crying at the drop of a hat... probally more, but im having a kind of good day today lol
Had a bit of a chuckle reading this thread! More so cause I think I have or have had all symptoms you ladies have spoken about!
I had had swelling in my feet since about 25 weeks...so I'm very used to it now hehe!
I had the hip, lower back pain and have had to see an osteo for it, which has helped! So if you have hip, lower back, bum (I think its called pelvic gurdle pain or something)
And Osteo can help!
Chaffing big time! Especially in Melbournes heat!
Always feeling tired (doesnt help when you don't get a seat on the train and working 8-10 hours a day!)
Ohhh! And I love peoples comments! I love at the moment from the young skinny girls at work "Oh My gosh your getting bigger" Well Dirrrrrrrr!
Love it![]()
Reflux
Inflamed ribs ( this would be my biggest complaint)
Cancels
