    A major call for help!!

Okay, so here's my story. While pregnant with DS I bought some baby muslin material from spotlight and ran up some wraps for him. At some stage he started to use a particular wrap as a sooky rag.... so we cut it into more managable pieces. These sooky rags have been on high rotation for the past 18 months, however, our population of sookys has dwindled SIGNIFICANTLY.

As you would appreciate, sleep can not be had unless Master 2 has said sooky rag. they are gross and smelly and have nearly lost the print, but he won't settle for anything BUT his sooky.

So the help: I can't buy the material any more from spotlight! I have searched the web and every material store i come across with no luck. Has any home sewers bought this material for their bub and no longer use ??? I want to buy it! desperately.

The muslin is white and it has a very small medium blue paw/mickey mouse sort of print on it (a big dot with a couple of smaller dots on top iykwim ... if you have the material you will know what i'm talking about).

Any help would be greatly greatly greatly appreciated

thanks for reading the tragic tale of the missing sookys.....

I can't help on the material side, sorry. But could you maybe involve him, tell him you're going to make him another sooky, and let him pick out the material?

I wonder if you could find the name of the manufacturer, could they give you a list of stockists? Maybe they could provide you with some direct.

I also like Keike's suggestion (though it might be easier said than done!). GL

How about joining some new fabric on to an old sooky so you sort of soften the transition?

Maybe start with a small piece and gradually add more till it is mostly new fabric.

A friend of mine did this with her child's comfort cloths when they became tattered rags. She ripped up new fabric and sort of tied them all together, old and new. It worked a treat.
