    Question Really vivid dreams...

Lately ive been having REALLY vivid dreams.. where i actually wake and have to think about it and decipher what REALLY happened and then realise 'hang on.. just a dream!"
i do dream, i know some people dont (like DH barely ever dreams) i dream most nights, but lately they have been so different, some really good (good things happening) some scary but not in the 'someones after me' way (someone kidnapped my DD.. that morning when i woke, i was almost in tears and when i rolled over and she was right there, the BIGGEST feeling of reief swept over me, like i actually thought it had happened) and some dreams are slightly R rated (totally dont mind having THOSE types of dreams )

like i said ive always been a dreamer, but not like this.. what does it mean? if anything?

    sorry for the ramble lol

everybody dreams every night, it's part of a normal deep sleep pattern. However most people forget their dreams as they move onto a different part of their sleep pattern. Physiological changes such as pregnancy can change your sleep patterns and make you remember your dreams, but so can external factors such as stress or a change in routine (sleeping at a different time of day and awaking early to unusual noises, new heating systems, etc).

The other reason I believe that people start to remember their dreams, or have more vivid dreams, is that there is a message in the dream for them or for someone else. Like you I usually remember my dreams but sometimes they stick in my mind more that others and sometimes there seems to be a message or importance in that dream. Could there be a message in your dreams?

hmm.. thats made me think traveller.. a few months ago i was dreaming about one of my younger sisters (who i dont speak to) EVERY SINGLE NIGHT i got in contact with her, telling her (basically) that id been dreaming of her (nothing bad, she was just there) and that i was taking it as a sign, i told her to look after herself, and i was honest in that i said "im only doing this because i want it to stop" (all personal reasons i wont go into) and it did stop. but coming from that, my sister and i have began speaking and i wonder if that was the purpose afterall...

most of these dreams have nothing in common, the only thing maybe is that my DH has been in most of them, and if not in them he has been apart of it if not actually there ITMS (one we split up, i didnt see him 'physically' but the emotions etc and the break up surrounded him walking out on me)
i should start writing down what i remember....

it's often a good idea to keep a notebook and pen by your bedside and write everything that you can remember down straight away as you will forget details throughout the day. This way you don't lose details.

i think i will start doing that.. its funny how quickly you forget, this morning, i woke going over it in my head, went to the loo, climbed back into bed and for the life of me can only remember one small detail.. so frustrating!
