    Picture graph year 1...

DD (6) and in year 1 needs to "ask your family members what their favourite fruit is between xyz" and then draw a picture graph of the results. So....

What's a picture graph? Just a normal graph or is this some easier kids version? Google hasn't been helpful!

If there were 6 of you, and 1 person's favourite was strawberry, 2 were apples, and 3 were oranges...

I'd draw one strawberry, next to it, I'd draw 2 apples stacked on top of each other, and next to that, three oranges stacked on top of each other. So 3 columns.

I'm a statistician, and picture graph is not an official name for anything.... O.o confusing.

    I agree with that ^

Yep this A picture graph is a column or bar graph with pictures (which match the subject matter being surveyed) instead of columns/bars to represent the results. You would still have an X and Y axis etc
