    Siblings Cosleeping

When is it ok to let siblings sleep together do you think?

DD1 (3yrs) doesn't cosleep any more, she sleeps in her own room and has since she was about 2. DD2 (1yr) sleeps with us still. But every now and then DD1 will just come to bed with us when we go to bed, for a special treat coz it's so nice snuggling up. Or sometimes she might wake really early in the morning and come and hop in bed with us. DD2 sleeps in her cot until her first wake up so if we have DD1 in there DH will move her back to her bed when DD2 wakes because we are worried it's unsafe for her to sleep with DD2. She might roll on her or something.

I was just day dreaming about how cute it would be to all snuggle up together in bed, lol. Is DD2 old enough for that now or is it dangerous?? They would have to sleep next to each other in the middle or else they'd fall out. It would probably be too squishy anyway and they would get annoyed at no space but how cute would it be!! lol.

Just pondering I guess... I think I should go to bed and stop rambling lol.

Does anyone cosleep with more than one child? Or even do you have kids that cosleep together without you? (omg cuteness!)

Both my girls are in my bed as I type, DP is not home at the moment but we often have them both come in early in the morning to go back to sleep.

We actually bought a super king bed so we could all fit

Most nights we have at least one in bed with us, some nights we have two in bed and others we have all three in bed. Mind you when we get all three in bed I have to kick DH out and often one of the girls so that I have some room in bed. Afterall we only have a queen bed.

We've been known to wake up with all five of us in the bed - plus the dog and occasionally the cat. We do have a king size. DD1 (8) and DS (6) love to snuggle up in one of their beds, but we only allow it on weekends or school holidays or the talk all night!! Miss P is now 16 months-ish and I am confident that she is too big now to be rolled on, she would wake up and complain loudly!

DS & DD3 sleep in my bed pretty much every night.
I'm considering getting them a double for their room rather than 2 singles. Just so I can occasionally have my bed back

DS is the one who stops DD falling out

My girls shared a queen size bed from DD2 being 2 yrs old until only a couple of months ago. They loved it. It started as being a novelty thing one night when we were doing renos and were all sort of camping out in one room but ended up being what they chose. They now have chosen to share a room each with their own beds but will still share a bed regularly (they each have a queen size so there's no space issues for them and a million toys). I would in the early days have been in there with both of them frequently.

We often end up the four of us in our bed in the morning now, and when this bub comes along I imagine that will make five. Baby will sleep next to me, away from DH, but the "big" girls will sleep in the middle of DH and me. Its going to be squishy making sure the baby has enough room that she's not rolling off the edge, but I can't imagine a better kind of squish

My 2 oldest DSs co-slept with each other from about 5 & 3 years old. DS1 slept with me until he was 2 then started in his own bed and migrated most nights. DS2 never slept with me as a baby and would only come in if he was sick or scared. When DS2 was about 3 I think he just decided he'd like to sleep with his brother and did so until he was about 8 or 9 even I think
