Hi ladies
After 3 failed ivf cycles and recent Endo surgery last month (second in a year), we were told to try naturally until we start cycle 4 in April
I am day 29 of my cycle, usually about 30-34 days. I did a HPT this morning first thing and it was a BFP!* Of course I ran to the shop and bought more tests. Did a second one about an hour later and it was a BFN.*
Has anyone else had this? I am in a complete state, not knowing what to think. I can't get to the GP until Monday, will do another test tomorrow, but not sure what to think?
Your FMU (first morning urine) has the highest concentration of HCG, the hormone detected by home pg tests. The second test you did was from urine which would not have had such high levels of hormone - perhaps not enough to be detected by a HPT. Given your period is not yet due, you are still only very early in your pg and therefore your hormone levels would still be quite low, probably just enough for a HPT to pick up. What brand of test did you use? I like First Response Early Response and I know lots of other ladies do too.
How strong was the positive this morning? Can you post a pic... I love checking out other people's BFP's...
I would test again first thing tomorrow morning using a FRER. No, I lie. I would go and spend $100 on as many tests as I could find and I would wee on them all!!!
Thx ladies, I did 2 tests first thing this morning and they were both negative. Completely gutted and can only assume I had a dodgy test.
Feel like I have period pains now too. Going to the clinic tomorrow to have a blood test, but I know its all over for this month
