DD wants to take soup to school but I haven't seen one in years. I've seen the long skinny drink bottle looking ones in Safeway but I'm after the ones that were shorter and wider because they're more suitable for food. Anyone know where I could get one from?
They are, you can even get Dora ones, pink with butterflies bit nicer than plain old silver.....there are a couple of good kitchen websites that stock them, one is called Haggus and stookles, the other is from kitchenware direct. (I hope i'm allowed to post the names of the sites). Check the both out as one has them for $5 cheaper.
yes they are still around... check out shop naturally, they have them on sale at the moment. It does have to be filled to the top to keep it warm though.
Most kitchen ware shops will have the thermos brand kids ranges for soups and everything. Or if you just want a general one, camping shops would be the go. Peters of Kensington online has them as well from memory.
I have seen the "food" stay hot things (not going to say "Thermos" because I can't remember if it was that brand or not), at outdoor stores, and probably Target/Big W/Kmart. Coming into the cooler weather, most stores should be well stocked of them.
Just wanted to say that I bought a Thermos (brand drink holder thing) last year at an op shop, and it's super old! Okay, it doesn't have a cork, it has a screw top, but its still old. I used it yesterday (amongst other times), for coffee. That was sometime in the morning (I preheated it with hot water), and the boys didn't open it until 5pm. The coffee was still steaming hot! Go Thermos! I never knew they kept hot that long!
