    Child Care fee 50% rebate

Hoping someone can clarify for me. In a wee bit of a panic because after school care just took almost $800 out of my account unexpectedly (they took out the money for the holiday program today). So, my question is this - to get the 50% rebate, does Centrelink need my CRN or DD's? Or both? The stupid people didn't put DD's in until last week...

    TIA

just another Q... if the child care centre didn't submit one CRN for a payment and then did for the next, would the 50% rebate of the first one be calculated or is it a case of "sorry you missed out"?

$800 for what? That's alot of dollars. Was it the centre that only put your daughters CRN in last week? It shouldn't make any difference because it should up date itself once the number is put into their system anyway. CCR is only calculated 1/4ly.

no we get our payments weekly - I just haven't followed up on it until now because I am still getting used to the school system as opposed to child care. The money they took today is 1 weeks before and afterschool care plus the two weeks of holiday program which we apparently have to pay up front instead of the usual week in advance. I'm a bit annoyed because payments aren't suppose to be done until Friday... I have a whole pay before then! They're lucky I had the money sitting in my account! But I wasn't expecting that much at once - I'd banked on the "1 week in advance" rule... which would have been $240... Instead I've had to pay the two weeks of holidays PLUS a week of normal care PLUS the extra care for curriculum day. OUCH! I can't complain TOO much though because that is still cheaper than 3 weeks care in a child care centre! I'm just pooing my pants about cash flow now. And annoyed that our celebrations for our wedding anniversary will have to be put on hold.

how do you have your CCR paid hun?? is it direct to you each time the centre report?
if that's the case, you'll get the ccr for the school holidays after you've used the care

We get it weekly directly into our account from Centrelink. So I won't get most of that $730 until AFTER school holidays? OUCH!

Unfortunately yes. Ccr is only paid after the care has been used
