    The names discussion!

    Hi all,

Not TTC yet - but will be in a few months and DH and I like to be well prepared with names LOL

What do you think of these names and which do you prefer?

    Boys
we only really have one we agree on....which is:

Marko Alexander (we like strong names for Boys)

The other which I like and DH doesn't is:

    Mason Alexander

Alexander is going to be the middle name if its a Boy...as DS has DH's first name as his middle name so if we have another Boy he will get his Daddy's middle name as his middle name.

    Girls

    Ariana (ah-ri-ana)
    Liliana
    Chelsea

No middle name choices yet for girls.

    So any opinions?

Ariana has been on my list since the very beginning of my pregnancy with Ianto - I just decided I liked other names a little more when it came down to actually choosing I spell it Arianna/Arianne though

I like Mason. I also like Marko but prefer the spelling Marco.

I like all your girl's name choices but my pick would be Ariana. Again, I like a different spelling - Arianna.

Yeah I have thought about Marco but I think the Russian spelling (Marko) suits his middle name better as Alexander is also Russian in origin....Weird I know

Ariana - I spelt it that was because of the way Aussies say Anna.....so she will get (Ari-anna) instead of (Ari-ana) but I do agree it looks better as Arianna.

I prefer Mason Alexander - just has a nice ring to it. Of the girls names, Chelsea or Ariana would be my picks.

BTW, Alexander is actually of Greek origin meaning "defender of man"

Oh Ariana is on my top list too! Though I have so many girls names on my list lol.
    I like Ari for short!

Mason was on my boys list too!
I like Marko also. It is very strong, stronger than just Mark I think!

Cranky - your right! I always thought that it was a Russian name. The Russian spelling is Aleksander.....so now I am torn! LOL
All the men in my family have strong names and my Husband has a strong name so its really important to us to give our son something similar....isn't it funny how we carry traditions that aren't really traditional! LOL I have liked Mason for a while but you know how other people being named something can ruin it for you? Yeah there is a total idiot at DH's work called Mason and so he refuses to go there

Deedles - Aww that would be so cute to have to 2 Ariana's I have no issues with people naming their children the same in fact I think its a nice compliment so if you have a girl you should consider it! P.S loving seeing the ticker up

Marko came to me the other day at work...I just thought yep! That sounds good! DH liked it too so it might be Marko for the win!

I'm sure people think that I am crazy but I like to talk to baby when they are in the tummy....and funny thing is, when Aidan was born they put him on my Chest and I said to him, "My beautiful Son! Hi Aidan its mummy!" and he looked right into my eyes, like he recognised his name.....it was a beautiful moment.
