Things to do in Brisbane/Gold Coast?

That arent the theme parks lol

We're heading down to Brissy/GC in 4 weeks for a wedding and have decided to make a family holiday of it. We'll be taking the boys to the theme parks but DH wants to know of other things to do in/around Brissy/GC.

    Have a BB meet-up

Spend a day at southbank. Go to GOMA and the kids pool thing, etc.

Depending on travel options, a drive out to Springbrook or Mt Cougal is good - go for a walk, see some waterfalls & stuff. Maybe do Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary?

Yeah southbank is nice, so is GOMA. Otherwise the city is much like a normal city. Go for a ride on the city cat I guess.

There are heaps of zoo's, national parks etc I find really pretty. So it depends on what you are into.

    Yay for BB meet ups

GOMA is cool, lots of cool kids stuff happening there at the moment. South bank has the man made beach. There's Australia Zoo which is about 45 mins south of Brisbane.

Can't think of much at the moment. If I think of anything else, I'll come back..

Hahaha I should have predicted 'BB Meetup' would be the first suggestion.

We're driving down so we'll have wheels, so waterfall walks sounds like a brilliant idea!

The boys love mueseums and they love swimming so both those things are great idea's as well.

Australia Zoo is definately happening, we havent been since 2007 when we last moved up here (last moving trip we went to Dreamworld instead).

    Thanks for the suggestions ladies!
