does your payment day change with a new child?

i was getting payments on mondays. my baby bonus etc for 2nd child went thru on thurs 29th march, next payment is scheduled for wed 11 april (i thought my next pay day would be mon 9 april). has my payment day changed, or is it due to easter?

I'd say it is due to Easter as they usually do put out payments a little earlier when they are going to fall on a public holiday.

my payment this week usually falls on a fri, but due to easter im getting it thur..

with each new baby my payday has remained the same, but i have heard of others having their payday changed once a new addition came along..

your normal payment shouldn't change - is it your full payment that is due on the wednesday? or just the baby bonus installment

baby bonus is set to be fortnightly from when it is processed - so it doesn't necessarily coincide with your ftb. so if your first baby bonus and arrears hit your account on a thursday you would expect all baby bonus payments to hit on a thursday
for payment to be going through for the 11th, it sounds like you may have had a change in payday - it shouldn't have happened, but it may have been changed in the processing inadvertantly. if you'd prefer it to be on the monday, you can contact and have it changed back

i just checked online and it doesn't say what period you're being paid for, which is a pita - i could help clarify if it did!

yeah, that's what i thought.

ok, i looked at the website agaiin. last payment on 29th was for immunisation allowance so that doesn't count.

i was getting ftb/fta on mondays (12th march, 26th march) then on wed 28th march i got arrears payment fta, arrears payment ftb, part payment fta, part payment ftb, once off baby bonus $879

then it says next payment due wed 11th april is baby bonus and ftb (no fta?).

does this sound like payments have moved to wednesday? wonder why there is no fta on system for the 11th?

Yes. The fact there is part payment means payday has changed.

You can change it if need be. Baby Hindus will stay on weds though

My ftb payment days didn't change, but I always received the baby bonus on a different day on the alternating week, I guess it goes by when they process your forms

Shhhhhsh! Was typing while feeding wriggling poppet. Brat child shouldn't be stretching faround so much post surgery but E doesn't agree! Spelling obviously suffered lol

My payment day did change once, but I think I was going from single to partnered or something? I honestly can't remember. All I know is that I used to get paid on a Wednesday, now its Fridays & has been since DD2 came along. Before or after her birth I don't remember...

Ingle to partnered often changes, ESP if partner is on newstart. Your payments are moved to meet the newstart payment dates
