Legs turn purple

Is it normal for.a babies legs to turn purple when feeding/ being held?

DDs did that a lot. Apparently its something to do with all their blood going to the 'important' areas ie tummy to digest milk and their little brains

DS used to get a mottled purplish look to his legs. I was told that at that young age circulation isn't really efficient yet.

Yes! My dd And most of my mg had purple legged babes when being held in cradle position,

Phew!!! Thanks ladies, I was starting to get worried, I stripped her down to make sure her nappy or clothes werent too tight and they werent and I was at a loss as to why they were purple.
