Freezing butter icing?

I am going to freeze some cupcakes for my kids to have at preschool. Could I freeze the butter icing I ahve left over too? Would it still be ok to use later? Or will it be yucky after freezing?

I've frozen it before, its fine and defrosts well

Freezes fine... also if you hack a bit off and eat it straight from the freezer its really good when you have no chocolate stash in the house LOL
