Hi Porsche - yay and good luck mate, I am crossing everything I have for you!!!!
AFM - I'm 13dpo today after ovulating very early this month - day 9!! I test tomorrow at the clinic but I already know I'm out, just that usual feeling that AF is around the corner.....and it always is boo hoo.
Porshe and Alison, fingers crossed for you both ladies
Hello to everyone else in here!
Well AFM, the first AF after the m/c has finally arrived, so I'm on a count down till the next AF to start my next cycle. I am so hoping and praying that all the acupuncture I've been having is going to pay off.
I had EPU yesterday and they collected 24! Needles to say I'm a bit sore and sorry for myself ATM lol. The risk now is OHSS. I feel fine appart from the tender tummy. I'm here at work with a bottle of gateorade, a bottle of water, nuts and a heat pack haha. Lucky I sit at a computer all day. I've been doing the protein thing as well. So hopefully I can avoid OHSS. I'm also on a drug to help with the symptoms of OHSS. Over all I feel fine .
I got my fert rates this morning:
16 Fertilized normally
3 fertilized abnormally - Too much DNA
5 No fertilization at all
So we have 16 embryos. Grow embies grow!
TF is Monday I just need to call the girls tomoorrow for a TF time and then sit out the weekend. I can ring the scientists over the weekend but I don't think I will. Nothing I can do now will change anything. I know we'll lose some between now and Monday. All I want is 2 perfect blasts to TF and any in the freezer is a bonus.
Alison - How did your test go? Where to now? Are you doing another stim cycle or another OI?
I've been doing quite well for a while, even with looking after my gorgeous nephews 3 times a week. This morning I've been playing with them, the youngest one decided to have a cuddle with me and feed me half of his morning 'froosalad' - beautiful
Then I went on FB, and watched a video a friend had posted about an American couple announcing their pregnancy to her parents, and now - tears running down the cheeks I've had 5 pregnancies, but I've never had the chance to tell anyone before my baby was gone. I've never had people jumping around and congratulating us and hugging us. And frankly, I probably never will.
Porsche - Great news to have 16 fertilised normally. Grow embies, grow!!! Goodluck for transfer day on Monday and for avoiding OHSS. I'll be thinking of you. xx
Hi Porsche - OMG that's awesome numbers for fertilized embies, you are so getting pregnant this time around, I can feel it in my bones!!! I'm so excited for you.
Hi Miss B - this is the start of a new journey for you, you can move forward now and be excited about trying again, I know after this last miscarriage that first AF afterwards really lifted a weight off my shoulders and I felt almost normal again. You will get there mate you will xx
Hi Keike - I'm so sorry for you, I wish there was something I could do to help you, I've had 3 miscarriages myself in the last 12 months but I'm also blessed with a 2.5 year old girl so am very grateful. Please don't give up xx
AFM - well girls, dare I say, I got a positive at the clinic yesterday, cue in shock! I so did not feel pregnant and this month I have not even paid much attention to the 2WW, myself and Amelia have had colds this week so probably helped as I was too busy concentrating on that. Totally surprised when I rang the clinic and she said, ooh we have good news, you're pregnant congratulations! My HCG this time is really good (last pregnancy it started off pretty bad) but my darn progesterone is still a little on the low side even on 2 a day (grrr) so they have upped that to 3 times a day, probably make me feel hideously sick when the HCG kicks in but if that's what it takes to stick so be it. I am torn between wanting to be excited and not wanting to get excited, after 3 miscarriages how do you not worry. Something inside me tells me this one will be ok, but I don't know whether to believe myself ha ha. Weird though, it's our 12th month of trying, 6th month since we started the prog treatment with the FS and my bday is the 12th of the 6th and I'll be due in the 12th month, hmmmmmm ha ha. Oh well, looks like this almost 39 year old with hardly any eggs left can get pregnant fairly easily, keeping it is the thing I need to get right so wish me luck girls! It's going to be a very long and scary 8 weeks and I'm not sure how I'll get through it, but i just pray this one sticks as I'm not sure I could handle another loss.
Looking forward to hearing of more BFP's so we can join each other in a due date thread, come on girls! xx
These are for you Alison . I really hope this is your take-home baby.
I am ok, but I am in no way confident about this pg. I just cant relax this time. I had a big cry /panic session about it the other night because I couldnt see myself making it to term, but Ive realised I just have to get through each day, no matter what each day brings. I hope you will be much calmer than I am.
Everyone else, I hope you get your long awaited BFPs soon, not that it could ever take away the pain we have all been through.
Ive been lurking and trying really hard not to post because I have a massive poor me I hate the world vent thats festering away; dont really want to dump it on you guys but I had to stop in to say Congratulations Alison! I will be sending every kind of positive vibe I can think of your way.
And DG, Im silently stalking you too and think about you often
