    Shellac - difference in brands

Can anyone tell me what the difference is like in brands? I know that CND was the original one but ihave noticed a few other brands around also.

I'm not sure of the difference, but I had Gelish brand done and really liked them I had French tips done and they lasted well over 2 weeks

I do my own shellac and have used Gelish as well- both $$ but great quality.
I bought a cheaper eBay brand- not so good!
    Didn't last 1 week.

Gelish has heaps more colours than shellac, but I still prefer shellac.
With gelish, they advise you to buff your nails before application, I found that to be damaging.

Are you going to a salon or DIY?

I got my lamp from eBay- its not great, but for $40, it'll do.

My polishes I imported through an eBay seller... $120 for 6 polishes including postage.

It's dead easy to apply- plenty of you tube videos to watch as well.

I would recommend going to a proper salon just once, to watch how they apply the shellac- some colours are easier than others.

I'm doing my toes right now....
