Am I going a little too far?

So DD (5 months) and I have just come home from visiting a friend. Most of the car ride home DD cried and carried on except for the last 10 minutes where she (finally) fell asleep. Now DD is not the greatest daytime napper so the fact that she is asleep right now is wonderful.... Wonderful to the point that I'm staying in the car, leaving her in the carseat till she wakes. I know that if I get her out and try and to put her to bed, she'll wake straight away. So am i going OTT trying to keep her asleep.... I mean there are a million things I could/should be doing right now (making dinner, the laundry etc) but here I am sitting quietly in the car just so DD can have a good nap... Obviously I know that if I had another child this wouldn't be feasible, so why am I doing it now??

Haha I do this all the time! Especially if both kids are asleep, it's my 5 minutes of peace!

Not OTT in my opinion. We do what we have to to get through the days!

Been there, done that! Enjoy the relax in my opinion.

I've been known to take the long way home when both my ladies have fallen asleep so they get a good rest so it is even possible when you have more than one

I used to do that regularly with ds1 although usually I was able to transfer him apart from a 6mth period where I'd sit in the car with my book or crocheting while he slept (usually on a Saturday)

Did that yesterday, only we decided to keep driving to nowhere in particular until he woke up. Wound up in snobsville and I might've found my "lotto house"

I just take the monitor out and plug it in the garage and put it in the car... don't think I have ever stayed in there with them.
