tranistion from cot to bed when sharing a room

DD2 will be 2 in may and is climbing out of the cot so figure its time to transition into a bed. She shares a room with DD1 (21 months difference). Any tips on how to make this tranistion easier given they share a room?

I've started letting DD1 fall asleep on my bed then moving her jsut until i can get DD2 into the bed but id prefer if she could go to bed in her bed straight away.

TBH I found the transition of DD2 to a bed was so much easier than DD1's. They share a room and DD2 seemed to take it as an indication that she was a big girl too IYKWIM, so she was very good at staying in bed like her big sister did.

We would alternate whose bed we would lie on, and everyone would pile in to read a story. Then I would usually sit on the floor between their beds until they fell asleep

yep, same as Lulu, found it really easy as DD2 had DD1 as an example. just go for it i reckon
