Help - She has spots on her!!

DD went to visit for the day with her Dad on Sunday and when I picked her up he mentioned to me that his partner and new baby both had spots on them but they didn't know what it was - but assumed its contagious because it's on the baby and mother.

They don't think it's the chicken pox - but she said they were itchy to start with.

Giving DD a bath just now means she has spots on her - 6 on her stomach, 2 on her back and a couple on her legs. It's hard for me to know what is old bites or not because we got swarmed by sand flies and she got bitten quite a lot.

I have no idea what to do - she has no temp - not unwell in anyway except she has been over tired today. I'm a bit worried that I'm being exposed to whatever it is too.

And of course - its school photos tomorrow and I really dont want to keep DD home to miss them.

    What should I do??

Do you have an after hours GP service or late night service?

Have the others been to the dr to find out what they are yet?

Sending DD to school may be risky depending on what it is and obviously when it becomes infectious (before spots appear or after).. It's a shame to miss school photos though!

Thanks so much for the reply!

It seems the spots went down once she was out of the bath??? I went to look at them again after dinner and they were visible but much less obvious than in the bath - I have no idea what that means lol

I will have another look in the morning and will keep her home if they are still there.

Maybe I am just being paranoid because I'm subconsciously waiting for the to appear? Lol fingers crossed its nothing!!
