Raincoat "capes" for kids - anyone seen them?

The girls have raincoats already but while they're an easy fit, they don't fit over their school uniforms which are ridiculously oversized fleecy jumpers. I've been wondering if there is such a thing as a raincoat cape that I can easily throw on (and off) the kids for school drop offs and pickups. Already wondering how I'm going to get two little girls and a newborn between the car and the school building without all of us getting soaked and figure the capes might at least keep DDs 1 and 2 dry(er).

So, anyone seen such a thing (and if so where) or am I just imagining that such a practical thing could exist? Thanks.

I'm sure I saw school ones at Big W or Target when I was looking for winter raincoats - if they don't have them in the stores check online

Yes they do exist! Search online for children's rain cape.
Would they use an umbrella? DD has a small one that she uses and I have another bigger one for DS and myself if it is raining heavily. Plus they have hooded jackets.

Poncho!!!! That's the word I was looking for! Yup. That's what I'm after. Something non-fitted that the girls can get on by themselves without having to worry about sleeves getting caught within raincoat sleeves etc.

L - they both love umbrellas but I like them having eyeballs so we frequently have conflicts about their umbrella use!! Also, while it doesn't rain often in Perth when it does it tends to be accompanied by quite strong wind so we have lots of sideways rain. The umbrellas are also especially hard to deal with when there are lots of little kids going through carparks, and then down a footpath that is really narrow - not sure whose bright idea it was to change the pick up point to the side entrance - must be no more than 1.2 metres wide with support poles down it at intervals to narrow it further. Then throw in 100 + kids with their mum/dad, various siblings, prams etc. Its a nightmare.
