Need to buy a quilt for my girls as I'm upgrading to big girl beds. I'm so confused about what type of quilt. Wool? Duck down? Goose down? I want it to be all year round
I can't remember what the one I bought is made from, but it was the only one that was machine washable and able to be tumble dried. As surprised mentioned, I figured I'd need to be able to wash it quickly and easily if need be...
I would go for a light weight wool quilt for the best all-season choice. Children are generally warm sleepers but depending upon where you live it may be too cold in winter still, or too hot in summer.
I went for a cheaper one when they were little so I could chuck it in the wash when it got weed/pooed/spewed on. I recently upgraded DD1s to a wool one as hers is now less prone to hazardous contaminations lol.
We've got Sheridan junior - "My First Quilt". Machine washable and dryer ok too I think. They are excellent. Keeps DD toasty warm in winter and great for summer. DS soon to upgrade to one
