Just wondering if anyone has Crohn's disease? The GP thinks I may have it and I am going to see the specialist on Monday.
No, but just wanted to give you a hug!

aw thanks! that is super nice of you
I don't have Crohns but i do have Ulcerative Colitis...
Only during a bad flare up, If i'm admitted to hospital they will put me on a fluid diet for a day or 2 to give my gut time to rest & then it's just bland foods & things that are easy to digest till i feel comfortable eating different thing. Are you on any special diet?
During a severe flare up it's hard, i can be bed ridden because of the pain & i usually flat out refuse to leave the house. It's also when i'm admitted to hospital for 5-10 days to get it under control.
During mild-moderate flares it's not too bad, you will feel more tired & weak at times but you also learn to cope.
Lots of hugs & i hope it's not Crohns.
If you don't mind me asking, why does your gp think its crohns?
Feel free to PM me, i'm happy to answer anything i can![]()
My SIL has crohn's - it's been managed by medication for the past 8 years or so, but she's currently trialling a crohn's specific raw vegan diet and has been medication free for a month or two. If you'd like I'm happy to put you in touch with her
Excuse my sucky spelling, I'm on my iPhone
My DH was Crohns diagnosed, now changed to Ulcerative Colitis.
A vegan diet has made a huuuuuge difference to his life. Medication dosage halved, and we're up to 6 years without a flare-up.
My mum was diagnosed with it, but she's not convinced as she doesn't have the very severe symptoms of it.
I am currently battling through constant runs since Wednesday, joint aches and pains, tummy pains, headaches. I had a BT and my body is fighting a massive infection. I also have really, really low iron, vit D and bunch of other ones. My Hb was 130 (should be around 70) so was dehydrated.
A few months ago I had the same thing but it was massive, squirming in agony gut/tummy pains with constant loo going but not the 'runs'.
I get what all call 'nervous' butt, whenever I have to go on a long drive or get nervous, I can't stop going to the loo.
Thanks everyone for your replies!
HB levels should be around 120ish mark... not 70...
'The typical resting heart rate in adults is 60-90 bpm' from wikipedia. And what my GP told me![]()

My hubby has a blanket IBD as they said he is shown signs to have both crohns and UC but without another colonoscopy at a flare up time they couldn't 'pin point' so said he has both! He is symptom and drug free by following the Gerson therapy methods and just started ready dr David kleins book.
