Hyperthyroidism diaganosed before, after or during pregnancy?

Hi All,

Well after a couple of weird cycles, I have had some blood tests done and my new GP has discovered I may have an hyperthyroid (over active thyroid)

I had a m/c in Feb, and now Dr thinks it could be linked (very slim chance, but possible) and that my thyroid didn't cope very well being pregnant and had become hyper.

Just wondering if anyone else has it or had it after a pregnancy?'
If so, what were your symptoms?
Was it diaganosed before you concieved, after becoming pregnant, during the pregnancy or after birthing?

i have been reading heaps lately on this also, as i went over my paperwork and one said was 4.58, which was in the normal but they reckon you need it below 2 or under for pregnancy, i found this great page, maybe you can read up on there to

good luck, although i have 8yr old ansd 2yr old, we wanted one in between the first and 2nd wasnt happening i had very irrugeluar cycle went had bloods and they did the thryoid one and they told me it was normal when clearly it wasnt, although somehow i went on diet shakes lost 20kgs felt sick took a test and then iu was pregnant with the now 2yr old, so not sure if related at all, i wont find out my tsh levels till mon as im wanting to ttc and want to make sure all good now, but hubby says he dont want me on meds anyways if i have higher end, but please look at that page it had great reading for me
