    Help with hygine

    Hi,

so to fill you in we are heading to sri lanka in 6 weeks for 13 days and our 2.5year old is going to stay with her grandparents for the whole time. She has developed this phobia of baths/showers. she sits on a small plastic chair in the bath with a shower head attached to the bath tap.

the grand parents house only has a small laundry tub and a shower(no bath).

We are trying to come up with a suggestion/way to bathe her while she is there (oh and to wash her long curly hair which she hates having done).

Any hints/tips/advice on how we can tackle the issue?

would she sit in a baby bath in the shower with a little bit of water at the bottom just to wash the lady bits, and then a flannel to wash the rest?
Or sit in a sit in the shower with water in a bucket and sponge?

Does she like swimming in a pool? Cause she might like having a shower in her cossies?

When my DD is having her hair washed we put on the bubble maker to distractor her and she has fun popping the bubbles while she is getting her hair washed (and de-tangled!)

We are currently living in a "renovators delight" and my 3.5yo happily baths in the laundry trough. She developed a huge phobia with the shower for some reason but loves the trough bath!
Maybe you could try her in yours so that she is used to that before you leave
