    Kids parties and games

DD2 will be 2 this weekend and is having a party.
The oldest kids will be 4 the youngest 2. I'm thinking pass the parcel but also not sure if they are too young.

GOing to to a pinata but where you pull the string instead.

    Thoughts?

I have just done the 2nd birthday (with 4 year old guests too)

Pass the parcel was a bit touch and go. It worked because I had done a practice run through (much to the delight of my girls) the day before so the birthday girl (DD2) got it. For the other 2year olds, it worked with them sitting on a parents knee so that the mum or dad could help move the parcel along IYKWIM

The pull the string pinata was a hit with silly glasses, party hats and honkers falling out along with a few jellybeans.

We also played musical statues and did "we are going on a bear hunt". Both games were a huge hit.

We had a party for DD1 who just turned 3 on Sunday, kids ranged from 18months to 9 years. I madwe sure I had enough presents that every child got something and the one boy who was last that did not get anything we just said he got the surprise gift and had some spares he could pick from. Parents are a must to help play. We did a pinata too, did not blind fold the kids though. We also did a pin the nose on the lion put just for the fun of it, not for a prize.
I find just sitting them around a singing some songs is the best games for them.

Goodluck, I was absolutley exhausted after the party.
