    Pork belly - help!

    I have a beautiful piece of pork belly I'd like to cook for dinner tomorrow night. I have only cooked pork belly once and... it was kinda average! So, hit me with your best instructions for cooking a yummy pork belly! Must have crispy crackle...

    The trick is wash it under warm water to open the pores up then pay dry with paper towel (make sure you slice into the skin) then rub oil and salt over it

    Miss K I boil my kettle. It sort of shrinks the rind then dry, oil, salt

    Super freaking hot oven for 15-20mins then down to normal oven

    Good luck and YUMO wish I was coming to dinner

    I put some soy sauce and onion flakes/powder on the meat part and rub it over and then do as above for the rind.

    Mmmm yummo! Will link you a thread I got lots of advice from a few weeks ago - I took advice from lots of different people and kind of made up my own recipe but the key is definitely DRY skin for it to crackle. We find that we dry it off and crackle it up in the microwave if the oven fails sounds terrible but it works!
