I personally have no experience with it or had really even heard about it until today - I was at a baby shower today and there were a couple of guests raving about the high school. They both went there at different times and couldn't say enough positive things about it.
One mentioned that another lady she knew who lived out of the area requested to have her kids enrolled in the primary school and they relaxed the boundaries for her.
Sounds like a great school - I will be looking into it more if I ever need another option!
I went to Uni with a girl from Mansfield High. She loved it, couldn't say better things about it. She would have left in 03 though so don't know how much, if any, it's changed.
I went to Mansfield high it was a great school! Very strict but it was great!
The primary school is fabulous too I have a friend in my doula class who is a teacher there and she says it's one of the best! Good friends went there too and it was great!
I think with any. School you need to go and see how it feels for you? Good luck xx
Out of area applications are usually assessed on a year by year, case by case basis. Depending on enrollment numbers etc and your reasons for applying. Wanting to enrol because it is a good school won't be enough. Sometimes proximity to parents workplace or after school care will work.
Not sure about work yet, he wont be there for a couple more years. I'm planning to start work after he starts school, DF is currently working in the city and will be moved to Garden City or Carindale soon but not sure how long for, probably not too long, they like to shuffle things around a bit. :/
I cant think of a single reason for him to go there over the school we're in the catchment for. We're only a tiny bit closer to the Mount Gravatt East State School.
