Dishwasher empties and a foul smell comes up the drain.
So when I run the dishwasher no matter how clean the filter is, an putrid smell comes up from the drains in the sink when the dishwasher empties.
Any ideas on how to get rid of it?

Do think it would be the dish washer hoses or the sink? It really is disgusting!

I use one of those dishwashing cleaning bottles. You put it thru a normal cycle empty and it clears out the smells.

Just running one of those finish dishwasher cleaning thingies now as I've had a disgusting smell coming from the dishwasher too. Think it's a build up of grease and junk in the hoses/sprayers etc.

Do you find them with the dishwasher detergent at the stupidmarket?

Yep they are there will all the other dishwasher stuff - coles has them on special 2 for $10 at the moment.

We had that happening just before I had DD2. Turned out (after a major flood no less lol) to be fat build up way down in the drain pipe. Like in the next room way down.
