Moving house and I'm switching from Origin and hoping for a better deal. Sick of ridiculous bills. We're in QLD.

Im with simply energy cause having an RACV membership you can get a 14% discount then on ur simply energy bills.
Tho just realised you don't have RACV up in QLD.
Isn't there a website where you can compare rates?

I'm with Red. When we rang energy watch, they were the second lowest deal. We're paying around $300 per quarter for a 18 square house and we're strict on our usage (turn lights off at night etc). They offer a 7% pay-on-time discount.

We liked that they are Australian owned and operated and their rates have been good - we were previously with Origin and paying around the $500 mark per quarter for the same usage.

They have been great so far - BUT and it's a massive but at the moment, they have rubbish payment arrangements if you're late on paying the bill. They didn't send us the bill for this quarter and we found out about it after the due date. They didn't extend the time to pay automatically and our request to give us three weeks to pay it was rejected. We ended up telling them that it would be paid for last Friday, which was three weeks after we got the bill - on Thursday they sent someone to disconnect the power.

ETA: After dealing with them today, sooooooo not happy. So yeah, only go with them if you can pay your bills on time and have no unforseen circumstances which means that you can't.
