    Run Melbourne (July 15th)

Is anyone else participating in RunMelbourne in July?
I have just signed up for the 5km.
I might die building up my fitness in the process but I do hope to be able to run it from start to finish.

Hi Limeslice it's runmelbourne.com.au I am not sure if I am allowed to directly link as it might be considered commercial.

I'm thinking I may do the 10km one as I have signed up for a half marathon in oct and need to get some longer runs in.

I was going to do it, but with the recent injury which had me sidelined, my fitness won't be ready in time I've got to go back to scratch with my running (which I'm not allowed to do for at least 2 weeks) so that scraps me

Looks like it is just the two of us then!
I ran one whole km tonight (for the first time in ten years, so although small, big for me!) so ill be aiming to run the first kilometre or so and then wing the rest.
I am looking forward to it, bit nervous though and havent worked out my transport/kid logistics yet!

Yay DC!!!!! When I first started running using C25K I could only run about one minute at a time, and I have worked my fitness up and I have run the full 5km twice now - only just, my knees and everything else scream at me from the 3.5km mark!! I am determined to run it though, am running with a girl from work, am a bit worried because I get into a bit of a zone with my breathing and iPod so I might end up doing my own thing because I am so determined to run it. I am getting the train in, DH might come with the kids, not sure yet and depends on the weather!! DS loves the train!
