    Children's Nightmares/Dreams

So after reading another thread it got me thinking

What do your children have nightmares about? Do they remember them?

DD1 has the most vivid dreams and nightmares at 2.5 years old she asked what the pictures were behind her eyes when she went to sleep. Around the same time she had a recuuring one where her Dad ran over me in the car, we have no idea what started this one but she kept telling us about it and how she had to pull me out from under the car.

She also had a terrible one about a clown coming in through the roof and patting her on the tummy. We seem to think it was because I was going in and kissing her goodnight when I got home from work. To this day we can not convince her this didnt happen, she now believes the clown doesn't come because we have a new house with a stronger roof. She also has some really sweet dreams about playing with friends and going to the royal show, if she has a nice dream the night before she looks forward to going to sleep the next night in the hope she has the same dream again

DD2 never seems to remember her dreams although she used to have night terrors up until almost two years old

Usually DD1 doesn't remember what she was dreaming about but I know she was because I hear her talking in her sleep. The other night she was obviously having a fight with Daddy about not wanting to put socks on, LOL. And I remember one night she was screaming and DH went in and she was upset because she thought there were snakes in her bed.

DD is 18mos and just starts screaming out of the blue. It's terrifying!
But, she goes back to sleep very easily and isn't worried by them once she calms down.

Only recently has DD been showing signs of dreams. She's waking up upset and just says she's had a bad dream, although one morning she got up all upset because Makka Pakka had been chasing her and was cross. It was hard to stop the giggles on that one, but it took her a few days to stop worrying about Makka Pakka.
