Trains trains and trains. My two year old son is a Thomas nut. If they have a wooden track you can buy additions to the track like tunnels and bridges.

Mr Potato Head - huge hit in my house!
Building blocks
Stacking blocks
Balls - any size, shape, colour
Kitchen stuff
My gf made a pack up for my ds2 2nd birthday last month. Big boy knife and fork set, placemat, chalk, plain notebook for him to scribble in and a hat. Pretty cool present in my book!![]()
My DS is also into drawing at the moment, you can get some great washable pens. I just have a huge book for him to draw in.
When my DS was 2, I bought him a little tikes car. He still plays with it and now he's 5. Kids always fight over it when they come over so I would definitely recommend it.
Other ideas, a toy kitchen was a big hit too. Still plays with that, lawnmower set. Lots of fun!

I'm thinking an one of those indoor/outdoor slippery dips. DS loves them at the park.
