We brought Briley a bike this year.
She also got a Pillow Pet (which she loves), a Barbie set, arty stuff & general toys.
my 5.75yo is making determined requests for a pram. I keep thinking, that's a bit young for her. She didn't have one as a toddler and preschool kid. Feeling torn, do i get her one (knowing there is nowhere in our tiny place for her to use it) or do i deny her request? Cue extra guilt.
Feeling like i'm more likely to get her rollerskates (she goes rollerskating regularly at a rink), which i know she will get use out of. She also asks for a scooter and bike. i don't have anywhere weatherproof to put them, so if i did, they would have to "live" at her father's place, she could only use them on weekends (where i don't get to see what she does, i'd love to see her learn to ride etc etc).
Have nearly finished a fairy "spin around" dress for her, don't know if I can wait until Nov, to see it on her! I"m dying to know if it fits, god i hope so - the sewing teacher helped me to make it, but i coudln't try it on bilby cos then it won't be a surprise, it's such pretty fabric (an ebay special glittery pretty one).
Cut out a mermaid fabric, peasant style top today to make as well, i know fairies and mermaids will be a hit.
Gigi you can get these cute little baskets that sit on the front of bikes - you could tell her that it's better as she can take the doll for a ride!!
i loike that idea Tanstar. She has a bike (2nd hand one that dh got last xmas, but she has to get a bit taller before she can ride it).
Any other ideas here?? DD is 6 on Sunday (WTF?) and I am seriously stuck.
Hama beads.
Gigi, I would just get a pram. They are all into home play at this stage. I don't think it matters where she takes it, she will just love having it.
National geographic have great gift ideas. We got DD (and DS) abow and arrow from there - UNREAL. They work so well! The arrows have suction caps on the end. They love them.
Depends if she's a real girlie girlie not? My dd also enjoys her butterfly catcher and insect home.
She can also play for hours with a magnet set we got second hand (no idea if they're still around), but you connect sticks and balls of magnets to make houses and animals etc.
Lego is also a winner with her (not the girl Lego! She likes the Lego sets with horses, chooks, farms etc, and she also loves her zombie Lego set, lol)

For DD birthday she got: dressing gown, CD player & head phones, scooter, recorder - HER FAVORITE, bead set to make jewellery, plaster sets, star projector for night light, a few different craft sets, lalalopsy doll, earrings and money.
Very spoilt little girl.
A kite? Seen a few up in the air recently and are great fun especially on the beach.
My DD wants monkey bars... I've priced them and they are exxy. Her birthday is in June but I have already purchased a new Tinkerbell sheet and doona set, Barbie top, Barbie umbrella. I am also going to check out a dance game for the Wii we have - she loves to dance and she wants some Tinkerbell wall decals
