Have the FTA/FTB thresholds changed recently?

I did my estimate for the 2012/13 financial year recently and got a letter from Centrelink saying that I am now not entitled to FTB because either my income or my partner's income is too high? My income has not changed and DH's income for the 2011/12 year was $0 and likely to be $0 for this too (that is if if even stay together - but that's another thread).

So, my question is - have the thresholds changed, or is this an error, because our financial situation is the same as it has been for the past year.

I'm not entirely sure. But my payments have been cut due to us owing them money... we dont get our payments back until after the financial year.

I'd ring up and check that, if nothing has changed. Doesn't sound right to me. I think our FTB has actually gone up a bit starting July and that's with me increasing the estimate too.

The income limits changed in March I believe.

We do ours annually but it looks like we'll only get from last July-March when they changed them, according to the calculator.

Edit: There's a table on their site that shows you the income amount at which FTA/B is stopped..

Actually now that I look at it.. Ours went down a couple of months ago, but is going up a bit in July. I hope we weren't overpaid last year :/ I usually overestimate.

Come thresholds are very similar in the new fun year to the current one. Go online and check you didn't accidentally out an extra digit in the details 500000 instead of 50000 for example

Thanks everyone. I have looked at the calculator and it appears that I should be entitled to FTB.

BG your explanation seems likely. If I find that I did make an error do I just submit a new estimate?

If it has cancelled for they reason, even in advance, you may need someone to manually restore your oayment
