Trying to get someone on the phone seems near impossible, so thought I'd post here first and see if any of you lovely ladies know the answer before I waste an hour of my life listening to hold music

I'm due to have my bub in just under 3 months so I know I can pre register for PPL now. I'll be finishing work in just over 5 weeks, but will still do a couple of hours here or there each week for a friend who runs her own business so I'll be right as far as being eligible for PPL even though I'm finishing fulltime work so early.

But do I need to do anything else? I recall someone telling me you can start getting payments from 7 months but this sounds a bit strange to me. That being said is there a payment that I may be eligible for between finishing full time work and bub being born? I doubt I will be eligible with DF's income, but I figure there's definitely no harm in asking.

As far as applying for PPL, do I need to provide evidence? I was under the impression I would need to prove that I meet the criteria, but I've been told by someone else that you just mark off that you're eligible and that's enough unless they come back to you and request further info. I'd just like to have everything together and sorted before I apply if I need it straight away, whereas if I don't I can worry about it later.
