    Question CCR Questions

A friend of mine has a child who attends C&K. With them you have to pay the fee's and then Centrelink reemburses you.

We can't work out how much out of pocket she will get back. I've tried the online estimators but its not really clear.

She gets 100% CCB and the fee's are $555.

Can anyone give her an idea on how much she will get back from Centrelink?

    Thanks heaps!!

$555 per week, term what? How many hours is she elligible for care for and how many days per week does her child attend?

    Its $555 for this term.

The child attend 5, 7.5 hour days per fortnight. (3 days one week. 2 days the next)

She is eligible for 60 hours.

They are incredibly cheap fees for a centre elligible for CCB - is she sure it's a centre that does get CCB - because I've never heard of one that doesn't apply it to fees but expects you to claim later. C&Ks that do CCB normally have a high daily rate like $70 but she's not even paying that a week.

The hourly rate provided by centrelink is 3.78, but she's only paying $2.88 per hour as it is. If it's a CCB centre, she will most likely get the whole lot back from what I can see.

    Ok thanks heaps.

I'm not really sure how the centre works in terms of CCB etc.

All i know is that when she went and saw Centrelink they said that her paying the fee's upfront and her being reembursed was the only way rather than how normal centres do it.

    Thanks again!!

Sorry BG, I should have read that in the first place.

    Thanks heaps.

So from what i've read I think she will get 85% of the balance back and the rest is kept until tax time.

Thanks for taking the time to post all those threads! Very helpful!

No. That is rebate. Registered care is different.

Registered care is only about 63c per hour. And only if she is working studying or training. It is a very small amount
