... but as of today, I am officially breastfeeding a 5 year old!
DD has been having 1-2 feeds most days for the past few months, but this week she had really cut down. However, this morning, on her 5th birthday, she wanted some boobie milk. I really thought that she'd wean earlier, but I'm just going with it...
Another belly buddy here too!!! Good job Zofia!!! I just cannot cannot cannot believe that was 5 years ago!!! When I think about Noah it feels like we've had him forever and can't imagine life before him but my goodness chatting and that first pregnancy and waiting for everyone to birth...I can't believe that was 5 years ago!!
Just found this - you posted the day my boy turned 6...and he's still having the odd breastfeed when he can catch me in a still moment! Feeding his nearly 3yo sister, too. I'm tired and plugging along regardless
Good on you Maya. DD turned 5 in June and in about July I have started telling her that she is too big for boobie milk. I think because I'm pregnant her latch was too strong and it was just painful, so I had to stop for my own sanity. I haven't ruled out letting her have a feed when the new baby comes though....
I went through that preggy latch with DS. We managed to work through it (didn't think I'd do it and sometimes I thought we'd have to stop) and he wasn't feeding that much by the time DD was born. He was right back in the game when she came, though, and the world of over-supply, engorgement and mastitis was not repeated (what I had with him, along with vasospasm and Tongue Tie) because of his help! If she's been feeding that long, she'll likely want to have a go again
