    Shingles and body aches??

Has anyone experiences lots of body aches when they had shingles???
I have it on my face and the whole top of my body is just aching. I don't know of its coincidence and it's not even related or whether it's part and parcel.
What have others experienced?? I've attached a photo of what my face is like below ImageUploadedByTapatalk1340180240.028312.jpg this is what it still looks like after nearly 2.5/3 wks

I did. I figured it was because i had it in the middle of my back.

I hope it goes away soon!

Yep had it on my neck and was so bad couldn't move my head and everything just ached. Mine stayed for about 5-6 weeks the first time I got it. Since I've now had it over ten times it usually only lasts a week or so

Thanks girls. I've been aching so bad in my neck/shoulders/arms. Hot water bottle and showers are easing it. I guess now I've had it I know what I'm looking for next time. The fact it's gone so long untreated is why I'm suffering this time. I feel like I'm whining but seriously, I've never had anything like this and no idea whats normal for it and not.

You had an infection as well yeah? The lymph nodes would probably be affected and I find that can be painful too.

Yeah. I'm on the 3rd lot of antibiotics dh seems to think its looking better, me not so much. Guess I'm just self conscious especially since I can see red scarring in some parts of it

So 3rd lot of antibiotics haven't worked still looks bad. Still really painful. Dr gave me the antiviral to try even though it'll probably do nothing. But given nothing else is working its worth a try. How long have people had shingles for?? This is going on 3-4 wks now. I'm over it, completely...

I had anti virals within three days of contracting it so it cleared up quickly, but I remember the pain lingered for a couple of weeks. Sounds like you have it bad- hope you start to get better soon.
