    after a fever

If you give your child a day off school because they have a fever do you keep them home the next day as well?

Not if there are no other symptoms. Kameron has often come down with a fever for no reason, and be totally fine the next day and been sent to school

not unless the fever didn't break until the early hours and they had therefore lost most of their night's sleep. The only thing I would keep them off for after symptoms end would be diarrhoea and vomiting, in which case they are still contagious for 24 - 48 hours so I would let them stay off.

I'm one of those 24 hours post fever people.... I just don't think their immune systems are able to fight anything else off straight away... but if they have a temp in the morning, and then recover throughout the day, the next day I will send them very dependant on the situation...

I kept him home today and he's rocketing about the place and bouncing off walls but he still looks kind of rough and tired so I suspect he'll be all out of energy by lunch time.
The other in one is in bed with a fever

If he doesn't have any other symptoms and the fever is gone I'd send him. But my DS1 is always itching to go back to kindy
