What has my OB written? Please help

What has my OB written?? He spent alot of time looking around bubs head and at the placenta (which was classed as low lying at 20w, but has moved away).

    I'm worried...

I can't make out the 1st word but the other tow look like Placenta clear.

    His writing is shocking.

What is it that he's written it on?

    My Pregnancy Record.
He normally doesn't write anything (apart from BP, position, HB etc).

It's the first word I really want to know.

    I reckon it could be
    A V (viewed?) or a U (ultrasound?)
    then an x or a funny &
    then anter (short for anterior?)

    Long shot I know.

    "something" placenta clear of os.

It may be "Dx anterior" placenta clear of os.

    Dx stands for diagnosis.

Though it looks more like Ux. don't know if that's a medical term

I'm assuming Ux means ultrasound diagnosis.

Basically it means your placenta has moved away from the cervix, which is a good thing.

Thanks L&B. My placenta is posterior, though.
I'm happy that it's all clear then.

    Yep this.

To me it reads : "Cx at scan. Placenta clear of os".

Whatever the first word is its similar to what he's written in the Presentation/Station box.

I wonder if Cx to him means Cephalic (Meaning head down).

Nope. The OBs and hospital are anti VE. They don't even do them when you request them unless you are close to pushing.

Just the scan he did in his office before writing in my book. He spent ALOT of time looking at the placenta and around bubs head.

    ).
    Yelp that's what I think.

Think of us poor nurses that are legally responsible for what these twats say.

I send a med chart back to a dr the other day as I had no idea what he wanted or the amount. He said 'well I can't write it any clearer' so I said 'well you'll have to give your own drugs then' he then said some very rude words. I smiled and said have a nice day

    Ahh ok.

    Yep I'd say its:

"Cx at scan. Placenta clear of os".

    Meaning:

Cephalic (Head down) at scan. Placenta clear of cervix/birth canal"
