    Paid Parental Leave and Estimates

Another Paid Parental Leave query for those in the know...

I have done the online estimator and it seems we are better off by about $1300 to recieve Paid Parental Leave.

My question is this - I believe I am still eligible for FTB A and CCB while recieving PPL. To get an estimate of the amount of FTB A and CCB we will recieve once bubs is born, do I need to add the $10 260 to my 12/13 income ($24720) and then use the online estimator with the total income figure for me as $34980?

But when I use the estimator for the paid parental leave - I only use the income of $24720 not $34980, right? It will add the amount for Paid parental leave for me?

I'd hate to think I had done it wrong and shortchanged myself of some more money to feed all these hungry little people!

thanks for reading - I hope that makes sense to somebody who knows what I'm talking about!

sounds right to me - PPL is taxable income and must be included in your FTB estimate...but to do the rate comparison to see whether you're better off to receive PPL or Baby Bonus, you don't need to include what you would receive in PPL, because the estimator is telling you whether you're entitled to it, ITMS?

^^ Yep, what eutra_phalia said - I was on the phone to them this afternoon and they confirmed both of these questions for me.
